Power distribution networks are the last link in the electricity industry chain, and if there is generation in distribution, they can become independent of other elements of the electricity industry. These networks have low asset value but are numerous. Downsizing the management of distribution networks can optimize activities and, most importantly, increase resilience against natural High Impact Low Probability (HILP) disasters and hostile threats. Thus, the existence of microgrids can assist the distribution network in this regard.
