ITRD
About this Program
Distributed energy resources are rapidly growing in grids with power electronics technologies, enabling additional functionalities and value-added services. PELS has launched a project to develop the IEEE International Technology Roadmap of Power Electronics for Distributed Energy Resources (ITRD). The ITRD has formed working groups in distributed energy resources and coordinated with the IEEE Roadmapping Project, IEEE Technical Societies, and other
stakeholders to produce a roadmap that guides engineers in power electronics. It will identify future research, technology developments, and applications of distributed energy resources.
ITRD is dedicated to providing a reliable and comprehensive roadmap to serve academia, industry, national labs, and research organizations.

How to Get Involved
The ITRD group currently needs stakeholders from the industry (consultants, manufacturers, technology providers, utilities), national labs, research institutions, academia, and professional associations to provide guidance and foresight for distributed energy resources and begin the development of working groups.
To become a contributing member of the ITRD, please provide a brief, one-page resume showing your technical background and how it qualifies you to contribute to the development of the ITRD. Be sure to indicate the area of the roadmap activity that you would like to concentrate your contribution.
The PELS ITRD group will then forward this information to the appropriate contact within ITRD.
For any questions, please contact the ITRD group.
