Eligibility: All papers published in OJPEL during the preceding award timeframe are eligible for nomination. Papers are eligible for nomination by the Editorial Board.
Criteria: The criteria for preselection and selection comprise of the following:
- Contribution to the field
- Originality
- The extent to which paper is supported by analysis and experimental evidence
- The quality of the presentation, including the effective use of illustrations and tables
- Value to practicing engineers
