The PELS/IAS Women in Engineering (WiE) Committees hosted another impactful session of the Elevated Engineer Series [1] at the IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC) in Atlanta, Georgia. This initiative aims to equip engineers not only with technical excellence but also with leadership, communication, and career growth skills.

This year’s breakfast event focused on The Power of Confidence —a crucial soft skill for engineers seeking to elevate their careers, communicate their value, and lead with impact. The event featured keynote speaker Jenna Banks—a best-selling author, renowned keynote speaker, C-suite event moderator, and host of The Jenna Banks Show. The event was hosted by WiE committee leads Jinia Roy (Assistant Professor, University of Wisconsin–Madison) and Neha Beniwal (Senior Engineer, Tesla).
