Cultivating networking opportunities and distributing professional assets to students and early-career professionals is a central pillar of the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Young Professionals (YP) Committee. The YP receptions hosted at flagship PELS conferences have become a vital cornerstone for the global power electronics community, fostering interactive environments where students and young professionals can share ideas and build lasting collaborations.
Preserving the tradition of YP receptions at conferences like the Energy Conversion Congress and Expo (ECCE), the 2026 International Power Electronics Conference (IPEC 2026–ECCE Asia) took place in the iconic port city of Nagasaki, Japan, from 31st May to 4th June 2026. On the opening day of the conference–31 May 2026, the Student and Young Engineers Meeting was successfully held in the morning from 10 am to 1 pm (Figure 1).
