In 2025, the IEEE PELS Students and Young Professionals (S&YP) Committee strengthened its global presence like never before. Across PELS-sponsored conferences, a total of 13 YP events were successfully organized, reflecting the committee’s commitment to empowering early-career engineers in power electronics.
Throughout the year, the S&YP Committee fostered community, provided resources, and created networking opportunities for emerging engineers and researchers worldwide. The committee also expanded its engagement by introducing new event formats across several conferences. Alongside the traditional Young Professionals (YP) Receptions, a dedicated YP Session was launched for the first time at ECCE North America. The following sections highlight these initiatives and their impact across the global PELS community.
