Competitive Off-Grid Green Hydrogen Production via Photovoltaic Generation

Date: 23/10/2025
Time: 9:00 am
Presenter: Carlos Restrepo
Abstract: (Sponsored by PELS TC 5) (Please note: This webinar will be in Spanish.) This webinar begins by exploring the historical evolution of ammonia to then focus on the international context and need for hydrogen production, evaluating Chile’s potential to become a world benchmark in green hydrogen. We will address the different existing industrial technologies for hydrogen production and the mechanisms currently driving its growth as an energy vector. Finally, the research developed by the LARI Laboratory on green hydrogen production and the existing challenges for achieving competitive production will be presented.
