Qianwen Xu (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree from Tianjin University, China, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2018, both in Electrical Engineering. She is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electric Power and Energy Systems, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. She is the Director of the Intelligent Sustainable Grid (ISG) Lab @ KTH, and Co-Director of the Dig-it Lab (Vinnova Competence Center). Her research interests include advanced control, optimization, and artificial intelligence for power converter-dominated power systems and microgrids. In this area, she has published 2 book chapters and 100+ peer-reviewed papers, including 60+ IEEE Transactions papers. She has secured more than 20 competitive research grants as PI. She serves as Chair of the IEEE Power and Energy Society & Power Electronics Society, Sweden Chapter, and Vice Chair of IEEE Power Electronics Society Technical Committee 12 on Energy Access and Off-Grid Systems. She is an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, and IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics. She is the recipient of the IEEE J. David Irwin Early Career Award 2025, Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) 100 List 2023 and 2024, Nordic Energy Challenge First Place 2022, Humboldt Research Fellowship 2019, and Excellent Doctorate Research Work Award at Nanyang Technological University, 2018, etc.
