Awards
Transactions Prize Paper Award
Each year, the Editors and Associate Editors of TPEL recognize first place prize papers and second place prize papers deemed best among those published in TPEL during the preceding calendar year. The established Transactions review criteria are used as the basis for the Prize Paper selection. Specific emphasis is placed on originality, contribution to the field, the extent to which the paper is supported by analysis and experimental evidence, and quality of presentation (including the effective use of illustrations). In addition to a certificate for each author, an award of USD 1,000 is shared equally among the first place prize paper authors and USD 500 is shared equally among the second place prize paper authors.
Recognition of TPEL AE Excellence
Starting in 2023, TPEL will present their high-performing Associate Editors (AEs) with this recognition.

Outstanding Reviewers
Each year, TPEL receives thousands of manuscript submissions from authors all over the world who hope to publish in TPEL. To fairly and effectively evaluate these submissions while maintaining the high standards of the Transactions, TPEL relies on the volunteer efforts of thousands of expert reviewers. TPEL publishes only the highest quality papers in the field of power electronics and its reviewers include the most outstanding scholars and industry members in the field. Reviewers must be considered experts in their particular fields for the editorial board to send a submission for them to evaluate.
