In 2027, PELS will celebrate its 40th anniversary. To mark this milestone, IEEE Power Electronics Magazine is planning a special issue dedicated to the evolution of PELS and the people behind its success. We invite you to contribute to our commemorative feature, which will include key milestones, a society timeline, and a visual history of our organization.
We are looking for photographs—such as favorite memories, conference highlights, social events, product launches, or workshops—to be featured in photo collages and on the magazine cover. Please provide detailed captions for all photos, including the occasion, date, names of individuals depicted (if available), and any relevant commentary. We also welcome your insights and suggestions regarding major milestones, breakthroughs, or product developments in power electronics technology dating back to the 1960s.
To contribute, please prepare a zip file containing your materials (notes, captions, photos) and email it to Mary Beth Schwartz (marybeth.schwartz@ieee.org), PELS Publications Administrator. The deadline is December 1, 2026.
