PELS-Sponsored Conferences

Below are the conferences that the PELS sponsors at various international locations. Attending these events is a great way to hear from leaders of the power electronics field, network with colleagues, and stay up to date with the latest advances.

Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC)
apec2024 longbeach ca

As the Premier Event in Applied Power ElectronicsTM, APEC focuses on the practical aspects of the power electronics business and has something of interest for anyone involved in power electronics.

COMPEL 2024 Lums, Lahore Pakistan

COMPEL brings together practicing engineers and researchers from industry, government, and academia for interactive discussions on the latest advances in analysis, modeling, and control of power electronics.

ECCE 2024 Phoenix Arizona

ECCE is the premier IEEE conference for electric machines, industrial drives, and power electronic converters and devices.

The role of power electronics in electric utilities is changing from an enabling technology for renewable generation and energy efficiency improvement, to an underpinning technology for grid modernization. Electronic power transmission and distribution grids, which can efficiently manage electricity among power electronic-based sources and loads, are being envisioned for the future at eGrid.

The IEEE ESTS invites commercial and military ship end-users, shipbuilders, port operators, classification societies, machinery and equipment manufacturers, research institutes, universities, and other organizations around the world to present their views, opinions, experiences with studies, research, designs, and future advances on these subjects.

ICDCM 2024

The IEEE ICDCM brings together researchers, engineers, and students from academia, government, and industry for an interactive discussion on the latest advances in DC Grid Technologies and Applications.

The IEEE IEMDC seeks to address all aspects of design, operation, control, and systems integration of electric machines, electromechanical actuators, and the controls and power electronic drives that implement their applications.

INTELEC 2024

INTELEC is an annual conference that examines and analyzes the latest developments in communications energy systems and related power processing devices and circuits.

ITEC 2024

ITEC aims to help the industry in the transition from conventional vehicles to advanced electrified vehicles.

PEDG 2024

PEDG brings together the world’s experts in renewable power and distributed generation to meet, exchange ideas, and present the latest technological advances.

Predictive control is an important and advanced control technique to control power electronics converters and drives, which can be implemented with modern microprocessors at a low cost, allowing them to solve the problems of difficult multivariable control. The use of predictive control offers several advantages: a very intuitive approach, no need for linear controllers and modulators, the simple inclusion of nonlinearities and restrictions, etc. Model predictive control (MPC), an attractive alternative to linear control and modulation, is the current state-of-the-art research, as well as a popular subject for academic and industrial research.

PwrSoc is the leading international forum for the discussion of the challenges and opportunities in technology, business, and supply chain, intent on advancing the miniaturization and integration of power conversion and power management solutions. The workshop features presentations and dialog sessions of advanced technologies with global academic and industry experts aimed at miniaturizing power management solutions through system architecture, circuits and topology, packaging, and passive components. The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) and the PELS are joint sponsors for this workshop.

SPEC is the most important forum for researchers in power electronics in the southern hemisphere. It offers an ideal opportunity for researchers, engineers, academics, and students from all over the world to bring the latest technological advances and applications in power electronics to the southern hemisphere, as well as to network and promote the discipline, strengthening the relationship between industry, academia, and professionals. Cutting-edge researchers will present plenary speeches during a four-day program that also features tutorials and technical sessions on theory, analysis, design, testing, and advances within the field of power electronics.

SDEMPED was established as the only international symposium entirely devoted to the diagnostics of electrical machines, power electronics, and drives. The symposium is now a regular biennial event.

WiPDA 2024

WiPDA provides a forum for device scientists, circuit designers, and application engineers to share technology updates, research findings, development experience, and application knowledge.

WoW 2024

The Wireless Power Technology Conference and Expo (WPTCE) is the largest event in the world for wireless power research and industry engagement, covering a wide range of topics, applications, frequencies, and power levels.
