PELS DAY 1

PELS Day is an annual celebration to commemorate the founding of the IEEE Power Electronics Society, which took place on 20 June 1987.  Throughout June, PELS members and non-members celebrate this event by hosting contests and events that are held globally and spreading awareness of the field of power electronics.

Below are just some of the exciting events that are happening this month:

  • Crossword Puzzle: Keep on the lookout for an exciting PELS Day-themed crossword puzzle.
  • Events: Find an event near you on the Society’s event calendar.
  • Free Webinar: On 20 June at 11:00 am ET, join us for a free webinar featuring presentations by Joseph Kozak and Thomas Jahns.  More information about the presentations and presenters can be found here.  Those who attend will be entered into a raffle for one of three prizes at the end of the webinar, which will be a free PELS membership, a PELS-themed apparel, and up to 500 USD to support travel to a PELS-sponsored conference.
  • Photo Contest: PELS Chapters and Student Branch Chapters are eligible to participate in this year’s photo contest.  Click here to learn more.
