Photovoltaic / BESS Power Converters and The Control Techniques for Energy Access

Date: 12/12/2024
Time: 10:00 am
Presenter: Kevin Zhang
Abstract: Photovoltaic (PV) power generation and battery energy storage system (BESS) are considered promising solutions for fulfilling the increasing demands of electric power, especially for the energy access in remoted areas if advanced control techniques such as grid-forming control strategy are applied in the power converters which are at the core of PV and BESS systems. Sungrow, a global leader in PV and BESS technology, has pioneered sustainable power solutions for over 27 years. As of June 2024, Sungrow has installed 605 GW of power electronic converters worldwide. The Company is recognized as the world’s No. 1 on PV inverter shipments (S&P Global Commodity Insights) and the most bankable Asian energy storage company (BloombergNEF). This webinar will focus on the state-of-the-art PV and BESS power converter solutions from an industrial perspective and give an introduction to the current development of related modeling, simulation and control techniques.
