The Brazilian Power Electronics Conference is one of the most important Brazilian forums for researchers in power electronics. It is an outstanding opportunity to present our work and interact with each other, strengthening the participation of industry and academia. The 14th edition of COBEP is being organized by the Brazilian Power Electronics Society (SOBRAEP) and by the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). The conference will be held in November 19-22, 2017 in the city of Juiz de Fora, state of Minas Gerais (MG)
The event is being organized by some professors and researchers who are associated to the Electrical Engineering Post-Graduation Program (PPEE) at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) in cooperation with the Sobraep team.

The main topics of the conference include:

1. Power converter topologies and design
2. Electrical machines, motor drives and motion control
3. Modeling, simulation and control in power electronics
4. Power quality, harmonics and reactive power compensation
5. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI)
6. Power electronics in renewable energy systems
7. Power electronics in smart grid and utility applications
8. Power semiconductor devices, packaging, magnetic materials and passive components
9. Power electronics in lighting applications
10. Automotive, aerospace and transportation applications of power electronics
11. Industrial, commercial and residential applications of power electronics
12. Education and special topics

Prospective authors are requested to submit an English version of their papers with a size between four and six pages.

The papers must cover the objectives of the work, its significance in advancing engineering or science, the methods and specific results in sufficient detail. Papers presented at COBEP must report original research and not have been previously presented or published.

If the paper is accepted, authors must submit a final version, in accordance with the reviewers’ suggestions, before the final submission deadline. Moreover, at least one of the authors of the paper must be registered for a Full Registration. Failure to fulfill these prerequisites will impair the manuscript publication in the Proceedings, inclusion in IEEEXplore as well as its presentation during the conference.
