ECCE 2021 Logo Design Competition - Let your idea become our memory

Your talent beyond energy conversion!

The inaugural ECCE Logo Design Competition has received 18 excellent designs from five countries. Congratulations to ECCE 2020 Logo Competition Winners ― Yangdi Wang & Xiaonan Lu, and their design Tech and Art Fusion.

Tech and Art FusionDetroit, the conference venue of ECCE 2020, features a balanced mix of high-tech innovations and pioneering artistic practice. Inspired by a Tech and Art fusion, the design is comprised of the elements that not only highlight the world-renowned automotive industry, but also the avant-garde musical genre in the city of Detroit. Recognized as the historic heart of the American automotive industry, Detroit is named the ‘Motor City’ from the early 20th century. Meanwhile, the city is famous for its Techno electronic dance music and Motown Records, a remarkable record label of soul music. As a harmony between the conference theme and remarkable features of the local culture, the logo includes three major elements, which are: 1) Vehicle that represents the cutting-edge automotive industry, 2) Notes of Music that highlight the famous music practice in Detroit, and 3) Robotic Arm showing the world-leading manufacturing industry. The musical notation interconnecting these three elements reflects the fusion of tech and art in the city of Detroit. Furthermore, the vibrant notes of music, echoing the striped shadowing of the characters of ‘ECCE’, illuminate the vigorous advancement of the power electronics industry in Detroit and also all over the world.

The winning logo is in the ECCE 2020 call for papers and on the website. Here is a reminder of the key dates for ECCE 2020:
