10th ANNUAL POWER AND ENERGY CONFERENCE AT ILLINOIS
The 2019 IEEE Power and Energy Conference at Illinois (PECI) will be held on February 28-March 1st, 2019 at the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL. PECI offers students two full days of networking opportunities with members of the power and energy community from industry (e.g. ComEd, Ameren, etc.), national laboratories (e.g. Sandia National Lab, NREL, etc.), and academia.
In addition to technical paper presentations, PECI 2019 will include four keynote sessions, two tutorials, and a panel discussion. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the Abbott power plant (an 85 MW co-generation facility) located at Champaign. Additional information can be found at http://peci.ece.illinois.edu/
PECI 2019 will also feature expanded poster session in which researchers can present their work and exchange ideas with conference attendees from both industry and academia. As in previous years, poster presentation does not require the submission of a publication, and best poster awards will be presented.
The PECI committee is pleased to announce that they have secured NSF funding to cover conference registration (including 6 meals) and a shared hotel room for two nights for a limited number of non-author students attending from U.S. schools.
We invite students to submit a scholarship application located at www.goo.gl/M9uJ7L by January 22nd, 2019. The funding is limited and the committee will be making selections based on demonstrated interest from applicants.
The student poster session does not require paper publication and is an excellent opportunity for students to share their power and energy related research or a recent class project with others from academia and industry. We invite students to submit a poster abstract for consideration along with their funding application.
Poster Abstract Submission Deadline:
