The IEEE PES/PELS/IAS graduate student chapter at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) invites you to attend The 2018 IEEE Power and Energy Conference at Illinois (PECI) on February 22nd – 23rd, 2018 at the i-Hotel in the Research Park at UIUC. 

This year, PECI has the theme of "Renewable Integration for a Sustainable Future.” The conference will bring together members of the power and energy community from industry and academia to discuss and explore topics related to this field.

A series of keynote speakers, including Dr. Mariesa Crow from Missouri S&T, Dr. Stanley Atcitty from Sandia National Labs, Dr. Henry Louie from Seattle University and Dr. Brian Johnson from NREL will share their insights on challenges and opportunities in incorporating renewables into the energy landscape.

The conference will also include : 
• Tutorials on architectures for electric aircraft by members of the NASA Glenn Research Center as well as HVDC microgrid hardware. 
• A tour of Ameren's state-of-the-art dc microgrid research facility 
• Presentations and posters on research in electric power systems, power electronics and devices, electric machinery, and other topics related to power and energy

Additionally, all student attendees will receive a one year free subscription to the PLECS circuit and control simulation software.
