2 Editor in Chiefs (EiC) for

IEEE Transaction on Power Electronics – Letters and Regular papers

We are soliciting nominations and applications for 2 separate Editor in Chief positions in the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics – for both letters and regular papers. The selected EICs will begin his/her 3 year term on 1 January 2019, with the possibility of renewal for 3 years more.

The deadline for receipt of all materials is 27 February 2018. All materials should be sent to: Professor Frede Blaabjerg, PELS Vice President for Products, fbl@et.aau.dk

Please include the following information in a letter (2-3 pages) containing:
1. Motivation to become Editor in Chief
2. Plan for the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics for the next 3-6 year
3. Prior services on Editorial Boards in IEEE
4. Technical Committee activities
5. Indicate potential needs for administrative support as well as the possibility for host support for the candidate or administrator (release time, office space, financial resources, etc.)
6. Names and contact information of three references
 

Include also a two-page resume/CV and a publication list of maximum 2 pages. In the application packet, the nominator or applicant should specify which of the two Editor in Chief positions is being applied for:

A. Editor in Chief (for regular papers) IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics
B. Editor in Chief for Letters in the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics

 

The IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics has a goal to be the leading journal in the field of power electronics with a short time from submission to final decision. It received in 2017 around 2400 original manuscripts and 400 original letters. In 2018 11000 pages will be published. It is expected the EiC will be able to attend APEC and ECCE meetings for coordination with associate editors (+100) and reporting to the Products Committee. The goal is to finally select the new EiCs prior to May 2018. Interviews may be held with short listed candidates prior to that.
