Student Travel Grants

IEEE PELS Student Travel Grants

The IEEE Power Electronics Society has a travel reimbursement program for student who present the paper at the below listed conferences and workshops. The objective of the students travel grants is to increase the student participation into the IEEE conferences and workshops

To be eligible for this program, students must:

have a paper accepted and present the paper.

be an IEEE student member and a PELS member.

Preference will be given to students who are the first author on a paper and with more than one paper accepted. Travel support recipients will be chosen so that students from as many countries as possible receive the support. All Travel Support reimbursements are at the discretion of the Committee. This intends to mean that any decision made by the Committee is final and cannot be appealed or debated. Interested students should complete the application provided on the website. Reimbursement of costs will be done after the conference has concluded and students have sent in the necessary reimbursement forms and receipts.

In case there are more applicants than the available funds for travel reimbursement, preference will be given to the best papers according to the review rating and to students who have not previously been part of this travel program.

A few of the conference student travel support program information is given below:

IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC) Student Travel Support

apec

Travel support of up to US$1,000 is offered to graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in power electronics programs to assist in attendance at IEEE APEC. In 2005, this popular program was initiated by the PSMA, is now jointly underwritten by PSMA and the other co-sponsors of the APEC conference: PELS and IAS. The recipients are chosen by the APEC Student Travel Support Committee. The application criteria are:

The applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a power electronics program at an accredited institution.

Only student Authors and Co-Authors of accepted papers are eligible for the Travel Support.

Travel Support granted to students from the same institution will be limited. However, students at the same institution who applied for Travel Support may share the reimbursement.
