Crossword Puzzles
IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Puzzlers is a recreational engineering community that creates brain-teasers and puzzles related to the Society's fields of interest that include the development and application of power electronic systems and technologies, which encompasses the effective use of electronic components, the application of circuit theory and design techniques, and the development of analytical methods and tools for efficient electronic conversion, control, and conditioning of electric power to enable the sustainable use of energy. Additional applications of power electronics include automobiles, computer and telecommunications equipment, consumer electronic products, data centers, industrial and commercial systems, lighting, mass transportation, medical devices, renewable energy systems, smart grids, space and military systems, and utility power.
Each month, PELS Puzzlers hope to deploy one puzzle (or question) for the community to solve. If your submitted answer(s) for the puzzle (or question) is correct, your name will be included in a monthly drawing of prizes. Winners will be announced and prizes will be either shipped in the mail or given at major PELS conferences.
To get started, you will need to register with your name and email address. If you are already registered, you can then proceed to the puzzle (or question).
