IEEE Award for Achievement in Power Electronics Standards
The prize for this award is a single annual award of $1500 and an engraved suitable plaque to a single recipient. Any active IEEE member is eligible to receive this award. There are no restrictions on nationality, age, gender, or IEEE member grade. This award will be presented at a PELS sponsored conference.
Judging will be based on the nominator's recommendation, the endorsement letters, and evaluation of the selection committee members. The criteria include: sustained contributions of the candidate to the advancement of IEEE standards in the field of power electroncs; sustained services of the candidate to the IEEE standards in the field of power electronics; dissemination of knowledge by the candidate of the IEEE standards in the field of power electronics; candidate's stature in the area of IEEE standards in the field of power electronics; the quality of the nomination.
If you would like to nominate an IEEE member for the IEEE Award for Achievement in Power Electronics Standards, please go to our IEEE Society Awards Application System. To identify as nominator, you will be asked in the beginning of this process to log in your existing IEEE account or to register for a new one. Subsequently you should choose IEEE Award for Achievement in Power Electronics Standards and enter the required data and documents. Please note that at least two reference letters will be required, containing the following: Name, title, contact data, main field of interest of the referee, relationship between the referee and the nominee, achievements of the nominee with respect to the selection criteria indicated in the award description, the reason why the referee personally recommends the nominee for the award, signature of the referee and date.
