Call for Nominations

New Editor-in-Chief of
The IEEE Power Electronics Society Newsletter

The IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Newsletter is the Society's major vehicle of communication with its members. PELS is seeking a new Editor-in-Chief (EIC) with term starting in January 2013. The appointment will be for three years, with the possibility of one-time renewal. We are looking for a volunteer who is well rooted in the PELS community and has an excellent service and research record. Self nominations are welcome. Information on IEEE policies and guidelines regarding EIC responsibilities and duties can be found in Section 2.3 of the IEEE Publications Services and Products Board (PSPB) Operations Manual (http://www.ieee.org/documents/opsmanual.pdf). Dr. Arthur Kelley, the current EIC of PELS Newsletter, can also be contacted at pelsnes@ieee.org to answer questions regarding this post.

Nominations should be emailed to John Shen, Vice President of Products of PELS, at johnshen@ieee.orgby January 3, 2012. The nomination should include the contact information, CV, and a short statement on his/her view on the future of PELS Newsletter. Please make sure the nominee is willing to accept the nomination.

The Publications Committee of PELS will evaluate all nominations and make recommendations to PELS President and AdCom for appointment.
