David J. Perreault received the B.S. degree from Boston University, Boston, MA, in 1989, and the S.M. and Ph.D. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, in 1991 and 1997, respectively. In 1997 he joined the MIT Laboratory for Electromagnetic and Electronic Systems as a Postdoctoral Associate, and became a Research Scientist in the laboratory in 1999.
At present, his research interests are in new design and control techniques for power electronic systems, and in their use in industrial, commercial, transportation, and medical applications. He teaches a graduate-level course in power electronics at MIT, and is a consultant to industry in the field. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi and Sigma Xi.
