The Modeling and Control Technical Achievement Award (Award) of the IEEE Power Electronics Society is established to honor innovators and researchers who have made outstanding and sustained technical contributions to the advancement of power electronics in the area of modeling and control. The award is administrated by the PELS Technical Committee on Power and Control Core Technologies, and would be made annually, with the first award to be presented at COMPEL 2012 (http://compel12.doshisha.ac.jp/main.html). The Award Committee hereby solicits nominations for this award.
To nominate a candidate, the nominator must fill out and submit the attached nomination form together with up to two reference letters to the Award Committee Chair at the address provided below. The nomination deadline for the 2012 award is March 1, 2012. Electronic submission is preferred.
The award recipient has to be an active IEEE member; there are no other restrictions as to nationality, age, gender, or IEEE member grade. The award recipient will receive an honorarium of US$500, an Engraving of suitable plaque, and an award certificate. No more than one award will be made each year.
